  THE MALACAÑIANG
#Paragon 88 beach resort

Image result for the malacanang culasi antique
There are pleasant places and romantic nooks and lovely bits of scenery scattered among the barrios of culasi, by the seaside, along the country lanes and footpaths. on the side and in the hollow of hills. But I think in the whole.

The most beautiful district of culasi is that the barrio of Malacanang  region embraced. This section is drained by the Bacong river, and there are broad picturesque fields from which you get a full view of Mt. Madja-as and her hills.

Between Malacanang,  San Antonio is a charming landscape. On the west side, where a roads passes there is a lovely beach and a sea as lovely; on the east side, lushh riceland that is fresh and green even during the driest of summer days. farther toward east stands Madja-as lording it over the sorroundng country.

GUINTONGABAN

Image result for guintongaban

There is one spot that stands out in loveliness in all that picturesque land here in Culasi. Those who have seen the place will very likely evince surprise to learn that anyone should not only wish to come in this place. Guintongaban is known to be no wonder in enchantments of the place.

Guintongaban is no rivalvary, as what they said. However this place is different min point of beauty. Guintongaban hides itself among great enfolding  hills, a full hours hike from town which is the reason why those who have passed through culasi or made a  brief as journals there have never seen guintongaban. As just I said this place is at least  a full hours hike from the town but it is fully worth it.

The way you take, upstream along the river bed is picturesque through out. I believe that  you cannot get you're first sight on the beauty of guintongaban until you enter the gateway of hills. There the water is deeper and cooler, the stream is more loquacious ans charming as it merrily runs and skips and dances over and around large stones; and there the river bed is made more attractive by the great boulders and encircling wooded hills.

There are massive over hanging rocks and rocks that extend far into the water causing the river bed to rise. Behind the big rocks that stands in the midstream the river though weary with laboring over the obstacles in its course.

                                           The Kipot Falls;

Kipot falls is located in Buena Vista, Culasi, Antique. For me in all spots here in culasi, this is the most adventurous and exciting moment I ever felt. Because of its way. Kipot is a karay-a word, people here in culasi call it Kipot because of the way to that destination.

Image result for kipot falls in buena vista

To reach this place or spot you need to to ride a tricycle going to Buena Vista, when you arrive you have to climb and walk for just 30-45 minutes. You need to walk because vehicles cannot pass the way, because its to small and close. This place is not familiar or famous in other country but lots of people went there coming from different barangays of culasi and the other municipality here in antique.

Some people says that its too difficult and dangerous to go in that place. But as what I said, for me this is adventure to visit in this place. When you arrived you can see a lot of big and tall trees, rocks and waterfalls. The water that flows is came from the Mt. Madja-as.

If you want you're body to be relax, because of "byahe" (walking and  hiking) you can stay under the rocks and the flowing water. I believe that you can feel better and relax because the water will  massage you're stressed and weak body.

The Nablag Islet
Malalison Island

With its clear blue and green waters and white sand, Malalison is more than enough for any nature lover. There’s the Batabat Coral Reef for snorkeling, a sandbar for picture taking, and numerous opportunities for taking selfies amidst perfectly blue sky.

Great Background for picture taking while taking photos in the Malalison Island's Batanes-like hills or while in the Coral Beach of Luyo. Nablag Islet is an extended part of Malalison Island during low tide.

Nablag Islet is easily reached by foot from Luyo Beach of Malalison Island during low tide. There's a rock formation on one side of the islet that is worth checking. If you want a very good view of the western side of Malalison Island facing to the east, then Nablag Islet offers a non-typical Philippine landscape that travelers should not miss.

The Light House of Maning-ning (Maniguin) Island

The lighthouse serves as a marker of Cuyo East Passage. The east passage is a major shipping course at the southern area of Maniguin Island going Sulu Sea.The grey tower is cylindrical in shape. It stands 97 feet with a focal height of 191 feet. The original lens of the tower is Fourth-order Fresnel that ranges 20 miles or 32 km.

The lighthouse was built in 1904, right after the Spanish-American war. It was built by about 106 laborers, including 2 Americans and 1 Spanish mason. It is the very first lighthouse tower in the Philippines that was constructed with reinforced concrete instead of stone and cement.

The American-built lighthouse first lit in 1906. But its present structure was abandoned and the Philippine Coast Guard constructed a new tower just a few meters away as replacement. The new tower is powered by solar energy.

The Maning-ning  (Maniguin) Island

Image result for maningning island

Maning-ning (Maniguin) is one of the barangays of Culasi, Antique, it is 42.6 km off the coast off the main island of Panay from Culasi Proper, Antique and will take 4 to 5 hours to reach the island on a pumpboat. It only took us a little less than two hours to reach Maniguin Island,

Maning-ning (Maniguin) Island was badly hit by typhoon Yolanda but the people remain to be optimists and bit by bit rebuilt their properties. The remnants of the previous disaster is still evident, reason they continue to seek help from private and local agencies for livelihood support.

Its distance from the the main island of Panay plus the limited means of transportation are the big challenges facing this part of the Philippines. Promoting this island maybe difficult albeit conquering Maniguid will give one an awesome feeling this off the beaten piece of wonder, where nature is unspoiled, and the beaches - amazingly untouched,

We are so happy and full of joy when we reached the peak of the hill but two of my friends are complaining because they got dark skin cause of intense heat of the sun. But because we enjoy the moment and vacation we do a lot of picture taking with the  background of Mt. Madja-as and the amazing view of the island.

The Mt. Madja-as

Image result for THE MT. MADJA-AS  Image result for THE MT. MADJA-ASMt. Madja-as is an open slope, mossy forest and have a highest point. And also you could find a lot of trees, birds, and waterfalls. Mt. Madja-as is a the challenging  climbs here in Visayans islands.

This mountain makes Culasi and Antique a truly rewarding destination for climbing.
Madja-as means 'mataas' in some local dialect, but in English it can suitably described as 'lofty' instead of just tall. This loftiness will definitely be felt in the summit which opens up to the view of Western Panay island and the surrounding seas, but it extends to the mossy forests of the mountain, in which several unique flora and found have been identified.

Image result for THE MT. MADJA-AS
Access is still limited and Madja-as is currently a relative-unexplored peak, but as we get more information we expect that Madjaas' rightful place will be restored.

Image result for THE MT. MADJA-AS To reach this mountain you take a bus from your arrival points in Panay Island Then, After that you take a tricycle or jeep  to jump off the barangay Flores (Brgy. Flores, Culasi, Antique). this barangay will lead you to Mt. Madja-AS.

The mountain's Malay-sounding name has in fact some Malayan origin, tracing its roots from the story of the Ten Bornean Datus and the ancient "Confederation of Madjaas".

I believe that "Serenity of a place or destination depends on it's remoteness. Travel time is a great factor that affects decisions of individuals or groups in visiting a certain place. I also believe that "The longer the travel time is the greater and memorable experiences we could made".

May I present the SPOTS  of my beloved municipality, the one and only the municipality of Culasi. This place will found in Antique ,Philippines. In this section or blog you can find and discover a lot of places that are new from you.
